VirtualSpeech proudly announces its collaboration with the Regional Technological Center (RTC) in Flanders to bolster the educational landscape by offering specialized soft skills training through Virtual Reality (VR) to over 150,000 students.
In line with the visionary XR education initiative led by RTC in Flanders, VirtualSpeech will equip over 150,000 students across the region with essential soft skills crucial for their personal and professional growth. This includes public speaking training, job interview practice, debating, and other essential interpersonal skills.
“At VirtualSpeech, our mission is to help over 1 million individuals improve their soft skills, and this collaboration with RTC Antwerpen in Flanders is a significant step towards achieving that goal. We are honoured to have been chosen to be part of the comprehensive XR content library curated by RTC”, stated Sophie Thompson, CEO of VirtualSpeech.
VirtualSpeech’s immersive soft skills training modules will be accessible to students across 690 schools in Flanders. Through immersive XR experiences and generative AI-powered avatars, students will engage in realistic scenarios, refining their communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in a dynamic virtual environment.
“Leveraging immersive technology for soft skills training is truly transformative for skill development and confidence. VR enables students to learn on-demand in a more active way. Our commitment is to empower students by providing practical skills necessary for success in the future,” added Sophie Thompson.
This collaboration between VirtualSpeech and RTC signifies a monumental stride toward offering students access to industry-leading soft skills training within the immersive XR environment, with this project being the largest single XR educational initiative to date.
Together with RTC and leading VR headset provider, Pico, the VirtualSpeech team are committed to ensuring that students are equipped with the tools to thrive in an ever-evolving global landscape.
